To keep in mind regarding Kindergarten “Homework”:
It should be:
F—frequent
U– upbeat
N-never too long!
“Homework” needn’t be equated with “seatwork”. Maybe your child learns best by writing their sightwords with raisins then gobbling them up, or making the word in a fresh field of snow. You know your child best, so go with what they enjoy to inspire fun and learning to go hand in hand.
At this point in the year Kindergarten "Homework" includes your child's Chime In (and related activity, if enclosed), daily reading, and sightwords.
CHAPEL
Pastor Fritsche is leading us through the Advent season, as we lead up to the gift of Christ’s birth for all the world. Our monthly Chapel presentation will be replaced by our performance of two songs at the Christmas concert.
CHRISTMAS CHEER BOARD
The family for whom our class is collecting this Christmas have three small boys aged 4, 2 & 1.
If there is a particular item that you would like to donate, please feel free to add it to our hamper in addition to our requested items, which I have tried to divide evenly and will send home in a separate e-mail this week. If you would like a tax receipt for your donations, please send your receipts to the Christmas Cheer Board and an official receipt will be issued. Thank you for sharing the love of Christmas, and passing this spirit on to your children.
