Festival du Voyageur

The Kindergarteners learned about the traditional dress, food, music and some games of the Voyageurs.  We learned about how pemmican is made and tried beef jerkey.  A big thank you to Madame Christensen for our ceinture flèchee bracelet craft and opportunity to try authentic pea soup, and maple syrup, and the snow sculpture in front of BSLS.  Thank you to our parent volunteer who provided us with bannock.  Some students wore costumes from home, and all students wore their beards, toques and ceintures to be eligible for the school wide Festival prize draw.
