BEAR-Y FUN LEARNING

Wet Feet, Big Fun
The playground has been very wet during the spring melt, as I am certain the wet clothing and socks, boots and socks have made obvious! I endeavor to send wet socks and pants home in a grocery bag and ask that you send a few extra pairs of socks and some pants in your child’s backpack each day. If your child comes home wearing something from my extra clothes locker, I just ask that they be sent back to school laundered for the next use by one of the children.
Do you have an extra pair of pants that your child has outgrown? Would you be willing to give them to the Extra Kindergarten Clothes Locker for “emergencies”? My supply is currently very low and any extras will be put to very good use.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic
To culminate our unit on bears, your child is invited to bring one stuffed bear/animal on Friday, March 23rd so we can have a “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” of activities during the morning. If your child forgets one at home, I have several in the classroom that they are welcome to use for our activities.
Country Week – The Ukraine
As part of an annual school-wide educational endeavor, the students will be “travelling” to different classrooms through the week to learn more about the traditional customs of the Ukraine. Families are welcome to attend the PIP Event on Thursday night – details were in the note sent home or can be found in the Principal’s update (if you did not receive it e-mail jmccrea@bsls.ca ).
