GETTING READY FOR FALL - I AM EXCITED FOR OUR LEARNING TO BEGIN!

BSLS Kindergarten Supply List 2012

• • 1 lunch box - we try to make lunch as “litterless” as possible
•  • 1 backpack - large enough to fit a lunchbox and “bookworm bag” – the bookworm bag is 9 X 12 and will be provided on the first day of school by your child’s teacher 
•  • 1 package wooden pencil crayons - 24 colours – Laurentian tends to sharpen best for the children, but Crayola or Staples brand is fine if Laurentian is difficult to get.
•  • 1 package large washable markers - 8 colours
•  • 1 set of watercolour tray paints (Crayola, if possible)
•  • 2 exercise books with top half of page plain, bottom half of page ruled (lined). If you have any difficulty finding them, they are most often in stock at Staples. 
•  • 1 small lined exercise book - to stay in bookworm bag for home-school quick-note communication.
•  • 2 laminated two-pocket folders
•  • 1 laminated duotang
•  • 8 sharpened wooden painted or unpainted regularly-sized pencils (not plastic coated) • 2 white vinyl erasers
•  • 5 big glue sticks (40g each or more)
•  • 2 rolls of scotch tape
•  • 40 clear page protectors
•  • 1 - 2” binder
•  • 1 pair of kid’s scissors
•  • 2 boxes of Kleenex (no need to mark name on this)
•  • 1 paint shirt
•  • 1 pair of indoor non-marking Velcro-closure running shoes
•  • 1 set of extra underwear, socks and clothing for the season in a grocery bag (to hang in each child’s locker in case of unexpected messy events!)
•  • 1 box of bandages
•  • 1 package of plastic spoons 

 Thank you very much for having all supplies, shoes, and jackets individually labelled before the first day of school. Please label each individual item, not just the packages. Some parents like to use label-makers or commercially produced labels such as “Mabel’s labels” or a similar product, but a Sharpee or other permanent marker works very well, also – black items just need a bit of masking tape to be labelled. A note will be sent home if supplies need to be replenished during the year.
