•We began our “Letter and Sound
Book” work, exploring phonetics, printing, art and sequencing. Our first “sounds” will be /s/, /a/ (short
“a”) and /t/ which we will then use to read, write, rhyme and spell for those that
are ready
•We used our leaf bags for the first
of several activities, talking to a classmate about our house and neighbourhood.
We did our first “graphing” activity to practice numbers, counting,
sequencing, sorting, and will apply this new knowledge to “graphing our leaves”
•We will do “turkey” crafts on Friday morning
and have the Terry Fox Walk in the afternoon
•Spirit Week dress up is creating a
lot of excitement (psst…we will have another Kindergarten
pajama day with stuffed animal games and writing once we are more settled into the learning activities this year).
