Artists in The School--this program has been going on all this week from Feb. 6--10. The Kindergarten class had sessions with Allison Moore (artist in residence) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon and their composite artwork will be displayed after it dries for the weekend. The Gr. 5--8 will be creating a mural on the hallway wall at the school that you may have seen the development of throughout the week.
Next Week is I Love to Read Spirit Week--February 13 - 17
Monday - Wear a shirt with words
Tuesday - Wear red and pink (also Valentine's Day)
Wednesday - Dress as your favorite Storybook character
Thursday - Wacky Day
Friday - Pajama Day (Bring a bedtime story)
Other activities for the week: The whole school will have each class contribute writing to a Round-Robin story (story travels from class to class), Ring-Read (always have a book with you for DEAR at the sound of a bell), List your top 5 favorite books, List your top 5 reasons why "Our School is Cool". Kindergarten Activities will also include Making Ice Cream and reading books about it!
